first_img Brad James Written by Tags: BYU/Cal Poly/Falcon Invitational/Northern Colorado/Richard Church/South Dakota State/SUU Golf/Wyoming July 23, 2018 /Sports News – Local SUU Men’s Golf Releases 2018-19 Schedule FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailCEDAR CITY, Utah-Monday, Southern Utah University men’s golf coach Richard Church announced the Thunderbirds’ 2018-19 schedule.This is broken up into fall and spring seasons with no tournaments occurring during the winter period.SUU’s season commences September 7-9 with the 2018 Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational hosted by the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo.The Thunderbirds will compete in three other fall season tournaments, including the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational September 24 and 25 at the Colorado National Golf Club of Boulder, Colo.Others include the 2018 Bill Cullum Invitational at the Wood Ranch Golf Club of Simi Valley, Calif. October 15 and 16 and the 2018 Red Hawk Invitational October 20 and 21 at the Red Hawk Golf Club of Las Cruces, N.M.The spring season begins with the Thunderbirds hosting the 2019 Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational February 11 and 12 at the Sunbrook Golf Course of St. George.They will then compete in tournaments hosted by Wyoming, South Dakota State, Cal Poly and BYU.The Big Sky golf tournament will be hosted by Northern Colorado April 26-28 and the NCAA championship tournament will be hosted by the Arkansas Razorbacks at Fayetteville, Ark.
