first_imgShraddha Kapoor is all set to start training for her role of Saina Nehwal in a Bollywood biopic of the badminton champion who has been the only female Indian player to reach the world number one spot in the sport. The yet-untitled biopic is to be directed by Amole Gupte, who has previously won acclaim for his 2011 release Stanley Ka Dabba.Shooting for the T-Series production begins in the year-end. Shraddha has started physical preparations for the role almost six months in advance so that she is in fighting fit form and looks convincing in her role of badminton ace Saina, who is known for her lightening fast moves on the court. Shraddha’s training regime will happen at Bengaluru’s Prakash Padukone Academy, where a senior coach will tutor her on the basics of badminton. Incidentally Saina, too, had trained at Prakash Padukone Academy at one point of her career.Shraddha in fact has just essayed a character with a penchant for sport. While she has been cast in the role because of her fleeting resemblance with the badminton star, unconfirmed reports stated that Gupte could consider applying prosthetics on the actress to render further authenticity of look.Incidentally, the film will be Shraddha’s second consecutive biopic release over the next year or so. She is already wrapping up the shoot of Haseena: Queen Of Mumbai, where she plays Haseena Parker, sister of gangster Dawood Ibrahim. Also Read:Shraddha Kapoor: I have been a possessive girlfriendHalf Girlfriend, no thanks: Will Shraddha Kapoor finally stop being awful and boring?advertisementlast_img read more
