first_imgLETTERKENNY General Hospital is €8M over budget for the year to the end of September, a report from the HSE states.The review found the hospital has spent €78M for the period, instead of he allocated €70M.It also found the hospital had spent €3M on overtime during that period and €3M on agency staff. That means the hospital management are now spending 7.3% of its pay budget on overtime and agency workers.Absenteeism was also running at just under 5% for the three months of July, August and September.Support staff were most likely to be off (6.32%) followed by management (5.64%).No hospital in the State reached the target of 95% of all attendees at Emergency Departments being discharged or admitted within 6 hours, or 100% of people admitted within 9 hours of registration in September.
