first_imgThe Nelson Selects is keeping building process on schedule for a berth in the BC Soccer Provincial B Cup.The Selects posted a pair of wins over rival Kootenay South to advance past the first phase of Kootenay U13 Boy’s Provincial B Cup Qualifying recent at the Lakeside Pitch in Nelson.Milo Klein scored twice and Levi Taylor converted a penalty kick to power the Selects to a 6-1 victory over Kootenay South.Tavish Cutler, Berend Platje and Dylan Moynes also scored for Nelson. David Pengelly replied for Kootenay South.Nelson opened the two-game total-goal series with a 3-0 victory.Klein scored twice and Tyler Walmsley added a single for Nelson. Noah Ens was in goal for the Selects to earn the clean sheet.Nelson then finished with a 2-1 record at the Terry Walgren Tournament Sunday in Nelson.
